A3TS is pleased to announce that ECHT 2024 - European Conference on Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering and 50th A3TS Congress, merged into a single event, will take place in Toulouse (France) from June 5 to 7, 2024.
ECHT 2024 & 50th A3TS Congress will focus on processes and technologies for a sustainable future in transport and industry. Specific sessions will be devoted to the aeronautical industry.
ECHT 2024 & 50th A3TS Congress will include:
- Scientific and industrial conference program
- Poster session
- Trade show for suppliers of equipment, products and services for heat and surface treatments
- Panel discussions, innovation awards, technical forum, plant tour, gala evening, etc.
The conference will cover all topics relevant to the heat treatment and surface engineering community:
- Heat treatment of metals (iron & steel, non-ferrous alloys)
- Thermochemical treatment of metals
- Coatings and surface treatments: wet processing operations (Electrochemistry, etc.)
- Coatings and surface treatments: dry treatment operations (PVD, CVD, plasma, thermal spraying, etc.)
- Surface preparation and processing

CALL FOR PAPERS
Manufacturers, universities and research/technical centers are invited to submit oral or poster presentations on scientific or technological advances and industrial experience feedback for :
- Innovative heat and surface treatment processes
- Process modeling and numerical simulation
- Testing and characterization of treated parts and components
- Process control, IT and AI
- Environmental impact management, including carbon footprint and energy savings/efficiency
Please note that the conference language is ENGLISH.
The deadline for submissions is February 16, 2024.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
Please submit your abstracts for oral presentation (0,5 to 2 pages with figures) or posters (100 to 300 words).
Online proposal submission
If you have already made deposits for other symposium on sciencesconf (or HAL), your username and password are the same.
In order to submit an abstract, you first need to create an account on sciencesconf.org.
- Click on “Create an Account”.
- Fill in the mandatory fields and click the Create account button.
- You will then receive a confirmation email from Scienceconf.org with an authentication link.
- Click on the link in order to access the Submissions page.
Click the “Submit an abstract” button. The on-line submission module follows four steps :
- In the first form (“Metadata”), fill out the fields for title and abstract.
- The “Authors” section is filled automatically. If co-authors need to be added, click on “Add an author”. Don’t forget to indicate their affiliation(s).
- The “File” section allows you to upload your illustration (pictures, map, etc.).
The "Overview" section summarizes your submission. Check the information and confirm. A pop-up window will open. You will also receive a confirmation email from Sciencesconf.org. (Check your spam folder if you don’t receive it in your regular mailbox).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORAL PRESENTATION
- Keynote presentations will last 40 minutes, including time for questions.
- Oral presentations will last 25 minutes, including time for questions.
- All presentations must be in English, including slides and abstracts.
Presentations must be prepared before the start of the session at: a3ts@a3ts.org . Please bring a USB key as a backup.
Alternatively : Personal laptops can be used, but you must ensure compatibility with the LCD projector before the start of the session. Please also bring a USB stick as a backup.
